The Legend of Czaras:

Czaras was originally founded by Manuel David Vasquez and Mario Lobos, with the project initially taking shape under the name "Catharsis 1969." In August 2021, the band expanded with the addition of Jason Lopez and Bryan Gutierrez, and soon after, the name evolved into C69. However, Lopez and Gutierrez eventually departed, making way for new members Will Camos on guitar and Daniel Obasi on drums.

C69 quickly made its mark on Melbourne's vibrant music scene, performing at various iconic venues such as Bar 303, The Vineyard, Open Studio, Lalaland, Mammachen's, Bodriggy, The Bergy Seltzer, and Nevermind, among others.

On June 20, 2025, Mario Lobos played his final gig with C69, and was succeeded by Shakeel Rehman on bass. This transition also marked the return of Jason Lopez, leading to the band's rebirth as "Czaras." Today, Czaras is known for its unique monochromatic expression of Funk, Dance, and City-Pop, seamlessly blending Anglo, Latin, and Japanese influences into a truly remarkable and distinctive musical style.
